Belarus' products export rises in 2018

(MENAFN) Belarus' merchandise export has grown by 15.3 percent in 2018 over 2017, reaching USD33.7 billion.

The country was able to ensure the growth path for the second year in a row, exceeding the forecast parameter set by the head of state.

According to the foreign minister, almost 60 percent of the growth came from products not related to crude oil, petroleum products and fertilizers, which indicates an improvement in the export commodity structure.

He also stressed the share of the Eurasian Economic Union declined to 41.2 percent, the share of the European Union countries increased to 30.2 percent, and that of other countries to 28.6 percent.
