Oman- Meeting reviews health safety and quality in emergencies


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Health (MoH) is holding a consultation meeting for developing a plan to review main challenges during emergencies. The ministry, represented by the Collaborative Center of World Health Organization (WHO) for Quality & Patient Safety hosted the meeting in cooperation with the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO-EMRO) at the Holiday Inn Hotel on Monday.

The two-day meeting aims at developing an implementation framework for quality and safety during adversity, reviewing the main challenges and priorities during emergencies. It will also assess initial results of the quality, and developing the main tools needed to ensure quality and safety.

The meeting began in the presence of Dr Qamra al Saririah, director general of Quality Assurance Center at MoH and Dr Rashid al Abri, director of the WHO Collaborative Center for Quality & Patient Safety at MoH. Over 20 WHO-EMRO experts from Oman are attending the consultation meeting.
