Chinese police bust drug smuggling gang

(MENAFN) Police in the southern Chinese metropolis of Shenzhen have nabbed two suspects from Hong Kong and captured at least 1.2 tonnes of precursor chemicals in a cross-border drug smuggling case.

The Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department confirmed that police busted a ring from Hong Kong suspected of carrying drug offences in Shenzhen, and then set up a special team to investigate the case.

The crew discovered the gang's warehouse located in an industrial park in Longhua District, and gathered evidence about the ring's organization structure, members and their activity routines.

On Dec. 6, Shenzhen police targeted the warehouse, seizing a suspect surnamed Lo and seizing 710 kilograms of precursor chemicals hidden in 390 barbell plates.
