Mexico: death toll of pipeline explosion reaches 73


(MENAFN) Governor Omar Fayad declared that over 73 people have died in Friday's fuel pipeline blast in Mexico's central state of Hidalgo.

The official added that more victims have been retrieved at the site as the evacuation work is underway and more people who had sustained serious wounds in the blast were pronounced dead in various hospitals.

He confirmed that the score of the wounded in the blast has reached 74.

The injured included 24 who are receiving medical care in Hidalgo and 50 are in hospitals of Mexico City, the States of Mexico, Queretaro and Guanajuato.
