Pakistan: roof collapse leaving dozens trapped, 10 wounded


(MENAFN) Local media revealed that over 10 people have been wounded and many more remain buried under rubble after a roof broke down in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Monday.

Local Urdu TV channel Abb Takk News confirmed that the roof of a house where large scores of people were inside due to a funeral unexpectedly collapsed, leaving dozens of people with women and children among them, stuck under the rubble.

Police and rescuers were dispatched to the site and launched the rescue operation after the incident.

The rescuers dragged the wounded out from the rubble and rushed them to a nearby hospital for medical care.
