PUBG or PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is easily the most popular Battle Royale game on mobiles, especially in the Asian markets.

Tencent has plans to keep the interest going and let the popularity rise by continuously adding new content.

In this light, the studio is introducing the Vikendi snow map to the game as part of its latest update.

Update to be made available from Tuesday, December 18

PUBG Mobile is getting its latest update after a scheduled maintenance of the servers, during that time, it will remain offline.

The update would be made available from Tuesday, December 18, and servers are expected to be offline between 5:30 AM and 2:30 PM IST, on Monday.

Notably, the services might be resumed earlier or later than the stipulated time, based on the progress.


Update your game before December 25, win exciting gifts

Players who update their game before December 25 are eligible for exciting gifts, including an Outfit Box III, which will yield an item that can be accessed for seven days. Players will also get 1,888 BP, the in-game currency.


Vikendi map: The biggest change being introduced in this update

The biggest feature being introduced in this update is the Vikendi snow map.

It is a 6km by 6km map and developers have announced it will be made available at a later date.

This leads us to believe that Vikendi shall become available for mobile after it exits PC test servers.

Since the Vikendi map will be added to the map cycle on the main menu, PUBG Mobile is also getting a snow theme to celebrate it.

There are additional Firearms Finish Upgrade systems and Season spending rewards, besides allowing gamers to report suspicious gameplay activity, when spectating after they die in-game.
