Exporters in Turkey target USD200b profits


(MENAFN) Businessmen in Turkey set a target to record USD200 billion worth of exports over the upcoming years.

The news was announced by chairman of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) Ismail Gulle during the second Istanbul Economy Summit.

The TIM head noted that USD170 billion have been earned by Turkish exported in the past five years, compared to the USD150 billion previously collected.

Gulle added: "Turkey's GDP rose from $231 billion to $852 billion and exports climbed from $36 billion to $170 billion over the last 16 years thanks to reforms."
