Malaysian police say they crippled a drug syndicate with the arrest of four men and the seizure of drugs worth 337,000 ringgit (US$80,858) from two locations in Kuala Lumpur last Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, officers from the city police narcotics criminal investigation department made the first arrest at a hotel lobby in Jalan Pudu of Kuala Lumpur at about 11:20 am on December 3 involving a 43-year-old local Malaysian man, the Sin Chew Daily (Malaysia) reported.

The man was allegedly found with 93 grams of methamphetamine and 600 ecstasy pills. Based on the information given he gave, another team was sent to a condominium on Jalan SP1, Batu Caves, where officers arrested two local men and an Indonesian man aged between 32 and 36.
A total of 3.6 kilograms of ecstasy was found during the raid. Malaysian authorities believe the four-member syndicate had been active in the Klang Valley, distributing methamphetamine and ecstasy.
