Genoa picks Prandelli as new manager

(MENAFN) Italian football club Genoa was confirmed to have picked Cesare Prandelli as its new manager, becoming the successor of Ivan Juric.

Croat Juric was stripped of his position as manager following Genoa's devastating exit to a third division side in the Italian Cup.

Italian Prandelli has been the former coach of Verona, Parma and Fiorentina, along with Italy in 2010, as he led Azzurri to runners-up spot at Euro 2012.

Prandelli is also a former footballer who was part of Juventus and Atalanta, earning three Serie A titles with the Turin side and the European Cup in 1985.
