Japan to send new instruments to improve Tehran's monitoring systems

(MENAFN) The old air quality observing systems in Iran's capital Tehran will be exchanged with new tools from Japan, Eghtesdonline news website reported on Sunday.

The venture is part of collaboration between Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Tehran Municipality to decrease air pollution in the capital city.

The tools, imported from Japan, will substitute Tehran air quality control infrastructure being used for not less than 15 years.

The new devices will be used for analyzing the emissions distributed in the air, classifying them based on the type of contaminants, and recognizing their sources in Tehran city.
