'The Ukrainian World Congress condemns the ongoing occupation of a part of eastern Ukraine byRussian forces and calls on the international community to increase sanctions against the Russian Federation for staging such sham elections in Donbas, UWC President Eugene Czolij stated.
The staging of these elections on the occupied territory of Ukraine is an obvious attempt bytheKremlin to legitimize its aggression against Ukraine and create another frozen conflict inEurope, the UWC stressed.
