Europeans to hold high level talks with Turkish officials next Thursday


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- A European delegation will hold high-level talks with senior Turkish officials in Ankara next Thursday, Turkish foreign ministry said.
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will head his country's side in the dialogue, while the European delegation will be headed by EU High Representative for Foreign and Political Affairs and Security, European Commission Vice President Federica Mugherini, also attending the EU Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Commissioner Johannes Han, the ministry said in a statement Thursday evening.
The meeting will tackles Turkey's accession to the EU, and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, financial cooperation, energy and customs union, as well as combating terrorism, security issues and immigration, as well as exempting Turkish citizens from entry visas to Europe, the statement added.
The meeting will also delve into views on the Balkans, Syria, Iraq, the Middle East peace process and other regional and international issues of common concern. (end) rs.mb
