Fines exemption for Kuwaitis and Expats

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: No fines will be imposed on Kuwaiti citizens whose housemaids' residencies expired or on expatriates whose residencies or the residencies of their family members expired on Wednesday and Thursday, as these two days were declared as emergency official holidays, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting security sources.

However, their residencies should be renewed on Sunday if they do not want to avoid paying fines. The decision was based on instructions from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah in consideration of the current weather conditions in Kuwait.
