Oman UAE Exchange organises health awareness sessions


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- In line with its sustainable development goals (SDGs), Oman UAE Exchange, a leading money transfer and foreign exchange brand in the sultanate, recently organised a medical camp for its customers and a Breast Cancer Awareness session for its staff.

Dr Amaravani Medithe, specialist - General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Abeer Hospital, conducted the breast cancer awareness session for the staff at Oman UAE Exchange head office in Muscat while the one-day medical camp was held at the Wadi Kabir branch of Oman UAE Exchange in association with Abeer Hospital.

Boban M P, chief executive officer of Oman UAE Exchange, said, 'Very often, due to our busy schedules, health takes a backseat.

'Statistics around the world have been reporting an increase in chronic health diseases and women being diagnosed with breast cancer.

'As corporate citizens, it becomes imperative for us to raise awareness and encourage healthy lifestyle among the community for sustenance and social well-being. We thank all the medical representatives, customers and staff for making this initiative a tremendous success.'

Besides a free consultation from doctors, over 120 customers who registered for the health camp had their blood sugar and blood pressure checked at the branch. The Breast Cancer Awareness session also witnessed several staff members and their families who received a complete guide to breast cancer symptoms, detection and treatment from an expert surgeon.
