India: road crash kills 3, wounds 4


(MENAFN) Police declared that over three people have died as four more were wounded in a road crash in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The collision took place close to Sayalgudi in the state's Ramanathapuram district.

A policeman confirmed: "A car and a state-run bus collided head-on, claiming the lives of three persons on the spot. The four injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital."

He added that all of the fatalities were passengers of the car., meanwhile, an investigation into the accident has been launched.

"The bus driver has been booked for rash and negligent driving and efforts are on to nab him," according to the official.
