Qatar- HEC Paris offers three Executive Short Programs

DOHA: HEC Paris, one of the world's leading providers of Executive Education, is to run three Executive Short Programs during the Fall-Winter Term of 2018.

The two-day programs will be led by HEC Paris Affiliate Professors, and will deal with executive essentials for understanding company finances and dealing with people to create impact and manage challenging times. 'Participants will gain insights and new perspectives on some of the most crucial issues to managing successful businesses in today's rapidly-evolving business landscape, explained Professor Nils Plambeck, Dean & CEO, HEC Paris in Qatar.

'They will take part in interactive discussions, case analysis, group work and experiential exercises, which will allow participants to expand and deepen their knowledge, leading to further personal development.

The first program to run on October 24 and 25 is ‘Demystifying Finance: Finance for Non-Financial Managers', which focuses on enabling participants to read, understand and interpret a company's key financial indicators.

It will be led by Patrick Legland, HEC Paris Affiliate Professor, who has accumulated over 25 years' financial sector experience. Patrick Legland has been Managing Director at UBS (Hong Kong, New York, London), and then a Global Executive Committee member at the French multinational banking and financial services company Société Générale in London and Paris. He is now advising Boards and Executive Committees worldwide.

On November 27 and 28, the program focuses on ‘Managing People to Create Impact' with the aim of improving attendees' effectiveness, self-awareness and team management skills.

It will be led by Professor Matthew Mulford, Affiliate Professor at HEC Paris, who is an expert in negotiation skills, effective business decision making and leadership. He has also designed and run customized programs for some of the world's biggest institutions including Deutsche Bank, Ericsson, Ooredoo and Total.

Rounding out the program series on December 12 and 13 will be ‘Managing Business in Challenging Times', which will put leadership and strategy centre stage. This program will be led by Affiliate Professor Roger Hallowell, who is dedicated to working on issues of strategic concern to organisations and is an authority on strategic initiatives to simultaneously reduce costs and improve quality.
