Afghanistan: roadside blast kills civilian, wounds four


(MENAFN) A provincial police spokesman declared that over one civilian has died as another four were wounded in a roadside bomb attached to their car outside Pul-e-Khumri the capital of northern Baghlan province.

Zabihullah Shija announced: "A mine planted by militants struck a car in Khawja Alwan area outside provincial capital Pul-e-Khumri city at around noon today, killing one civilian on the spot and wounding four others,"

The spokesman added that no accusations have been raised against any militant group, however, the area is an active point for Taliban insurgents.

Taliban militants who largely depend on roadside and suicide explosions, haven't confirmed the accusation yet.
