Guatemalan embassy to be moved to Jerusalem in May

(MENAFN) The Guatemalan embassy in the Zionist entity of Israel will be moved from Tel Aviv to the holy city of Jerusalem in May, two days after the US embassy makes the same move, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales said on Sunday at a conference in Washington.

"I would like to thank President Trump for leading the way. His courageous decision has encouraged us to do what is right," Morales said in a speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's annual policy conference, according to a translation of his remarks on AIPAC's website.

It's worth mentioning that US president, Donald Trump have announced in December, 2017 the transfer of the US embassy as well as recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist entity, in a move that enraged Arab nations and drove international leaderships to criticize it.
