(MENAFN) It was revealed that a setback until February has hit the delivery of Qatar Airways' first Airbus AIR.PA A350-1000 as a result of the "complex seat configuration" of the business class of the airline.
During a press conference, Chief Executive Akbar al-Baker declared "we will be taking delivery of this aircraft next month."
The Chief previously announced the first A350-1000 to be received in 2017, but he revealed that establishing the 'Qsuite' business class consumed a longer time than anticipated.
He further explained that the aircraft wasn't done being fitted out in the headquarters of Airbus, Toulouse, France.
