Parubiy: Ukraine counts on further deepening cooperation with Latvia


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine counts on further deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation with Latvia at all levels.

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy stated this during a meeting with President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, the parliament's press service reports.

"Our countries are developing dynamic cooperation in various fields, there is an active political cooperation, there are very close and friendly relations between us," he said.

Parubiy thanked Vējonis for an opportunity for Ukrainian soldiers to undergo rehabilitation and stressed that international support is very important for Ukraine.

Also, when informing about the progress of reforms being carried out in Ukraine, Parubiy noted that despite the destabilization of the situation, Ukraine is firmly following a path of reforms.

Vējonis noted that "Latvia will remain a sincere friend of Ukraine, always supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and a strong and peaceful Ukraine is important not only for the countries of the Baltic region, but also for Europe and the world.
