Qatar- KSQ celebrates 62nd Karnataka Rajyothsava Day

The 62nd Karnataka Rajyothsava Day, (state formation day) was celebrated by Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) recently at Delhi Public School Auditorium with pomp and gaiety.

The function took off with the Karnataka state's song, Jaya Bharatha Jananiya tanujaate rendered by visiting popular trio singers, Jogi Sunitha, H S Sreenivasamurthy and Nakul Abhyankar followed by many melodies of yesteryears and latest hit numbers.

The famous spoof poet H. Dundiraj split the crowd into laughter's with his unabated punch and pun poems.

A traditional welcome was accorded to the visiting guests and artistes from the entrance to the stage with desi musical instruments played by the local ATS company artistes.

The event then witnessed the lighting of the lamp followed by a floral tribute to the Kannada Flag pole.

KSQ lady members rendered a welcome song mentored by local musician Ashwin P Kumar.

The children from Kannada weekly classes conducted by KSQ rendered two kannada children songs with full orchestra team led by Yellur Srinivasa Rao.

The kids then stole the show appearing as legends from Karnataka.

The kannada teaching faculty were awarded with mementos.
