Plate number (2) from Category 1 hits the record as highest bid of Emirates Auction on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Abu Dhabi Police

Abu Dhabi 19, November 2017: Emirates Auction, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, has sold 60 distinguished plate numbers for private vehicles of (Category 1) for a total of more than 55 million AED. This came during an auction that Emirates Auction held yesterday evening (Saturday), to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Abu Dhabi Police. The auction was held at Emirates Palace, and attended by 800 people.

Plate number (2) hit a historical record with a bid of ten million and one hundred thousand AED, recording the highest bid in the auction organized by Emirates Auction. This monumental auction reflected the strategic partnership between the company and Abu Dhabi Police, in line with the latter's celebrations of the occasion under the slogan 'Safety and Security.

Plate number (11) ranked second with a winning bid of six million and four hundred forty thousand AED. Plate number (10) Recorded third highest bid with five million and four hundred thousand AED.

The auction saw heated bidding on plate number (2) which recorded over 20 bids, before being sold for ten million and one hundred thousand AED, while plate number (22) was sold for four million and fifty thousand AED. Plate number (17) was also sold for three million and three hundred thousand AED, and plate number (60) was sold for two million and nine hundred fifty thousand AED.

HE Abdulla Matar AlMannaei, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, congratulated the wise leadership of the UAE on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Abu Dhabi Police, the directorate that achieved high goals in the fields of safety and security, and created a sense of peace and security in the society. He also passed his congratulations to Abu Dhabi Police on the occasion.

AlMannaei stated that the auction exceeded expectations, which reflects the satisfaction of UAE nationals and residents on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Abu Dhabi police.
