Mobile companies in UK continue to charge customers after contract expiration

(MENAFN) According to a consumer group, 3 of England's biggest mobile firms continue charging customers more for their phones after they're already paid off.

Vodafone, Three and EE were found to be asking for additional charges of customers who couldn't change their contract.

CEO of Citizens Advice said: "Mobile phones are now an essential part of modern life, but the way that the cost of handsets are hidden within some contracts gives phone providers a way to exploit their customers."

He added: "It is clearly unfair that some phone providers are charging loyal customers for handsets that they have already paid for. It's especially concerning that older customers are more likely to be stung by this sharp practice."
