Landslide leaves 45 people dead in Himachal


(MENAFN) Local media reported that around 45 people died and more than 15 are still un-found as landslide hit 2 buses in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh in India.

Moreover, Sandeep Kadam, senior district official announced that landslide, caused by huge monsoon rains, swept away the buses as well as several other vehicles on a highway in the hilly Mandi district early yesterday.

The official further confirmed "Forty-five bodies have been recovered in the day-long operations. Five people were rescued. The death toll could rise as the search for survivors continues".
