UAE- DHA to launch Damani to ease customer's insurance procedures

DUBAI, 27th July, 2017 (WAM) -- The Dubai Health Authority, DHA, will be launching the Damani project at all its hospitals and primary health care centres this year, to ease patient's health insurance procedures.

Under the project Damani Offices will be established across DHA facilities, which will aid insurance holders by contacting their insurance companies and helping them complete their procedures.

Taha Abdul Rahim Ketait, Director of Health Insurance System Management at DHA said Damani would help aid customers at emergency departments and outpatient clinics of Rashid, Dubai, Latifa and Hatta Hospitals as well as all primary health care centres in completing their health insurance procedures.

All insurance cardholders from any insurance company can visit the Damani office to start the registration process and complete the insurance procedures through contacting their insurance companies.

He added that the authority has signed memorandum of understandings with 18 insurance companies to better serve customers at DHA facilities. The Damani offices will also be in charge of contacting health insurance companies to make sure that the services required are covered and help complete the insurance procedures.

He said that the authority in the next phase will also include specialised health centres.
