Istanbul restaurant brings unique flavours to Doha

One of Istanbul's highest-rated restaurants opened in Doha on recently, promising highest quality of traditional Turkish cuisine with a unique, contemporary twist.

A number of VIPs, including the Turkish Ambassador as well as other ambassadors and their spouses, were invited to the grand opening party of the restaurant Nisantasi Basköse.

Ahmet Demet, CEO of Nisantasi Basköse ,at the inaugural ceremony, offered the guests a dinner of carefully crafted favourites.

Selected items will be served including mezzes, döner, kebabs, and lahmacun as a worthy foil for the introduction of the restaurant's new Special Imperial Kebab: their delicious signature kebab adorned with edible gold-leaf.

Meanwhile, entertainments included a night of music from well-knownTurkish DJ SenolAycan, an electrical violin show and a Turkish original Darwish Show.

A full team of four specialised chefs has come from Turkey to Doha with the aim of recreating ‘the real thing' on Qatari soil, using both key imported ingredients from Turkeyand fresh local produce blended using time-honoured techniques: Ali Isitmezoglu, Oven Chef, Nuri Etisgen,Döner Chef, HakanTopdemir, Grill Chef, and DenizÇelik, Mezzes and Grill Chef.
