Australian Prime Minister Meets Israeli Counterpart


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Canberra, February 22 (QNA) - Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull met here Wednesday with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, who is the first Israeli prime minister to visit Australia.

The meeting dealt with ways to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including the possibility of arms deals between the two countries.

Netanyahu arrived this morning in Australia, heading a business delegation. He is going to discuss during his four days visit, a number of issues, including the Palestinian issue.

The two sides will also sign agreements on technological research, air services, and will discuss expanding cooperation in cyber security and innovation. (QNA)
