Volkswagen fixes 470,000 cars affected by diesel emission in UK

(MENAFN) Top executive for Volkswagen in UK, Paul Willis, said that VW had fixed 47,000 of the 1.2 million cars affected by the diesel emissions scandal in UK.

He told MPs on the Transport Committee: "At the current rate, we are applying these measures to 20,000 cars a week."

And he added that the automaker was trying to hire more people to help with the technical fixes, as there had been to redundancies in the UK because of the diesel dishonesty.

However, many owners of VW cars in UK were angry that they will receive no compensation as a result of the scandal, unlike customers in the US.
