(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Officials from the Directorate of Narcotics Control of the Directorate General of Inquiries and Investigations have arrested two persons for drug trafficking.
As many as 107 drug pills, many containing heroin, were seized in a raid on a house in Muscat governorate. The raid also yielded seven mobile phones and receipts of money transfers to an Asian country.
The men were found to be in contact with an international drug ring. They have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Two arrested for forgery
The Directorate of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations in Dhofar arrested two Asians from the Industrial Estate in Aukad, Salalah, for forging official documents.
An ROP statement said the men were picked up from their residence after investigation.
Certificates and stamps used in the crime were confiscated.

Two arrested for fraud
The Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes at the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations has arrested two persons of African nationality for fraud from Muscat governorate.
The men had managed to convince a number of citizens and residents that they could produce currency notes using special solvents, stamps and inks.
They have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

One held for theft in Sohar
Officials from North Batinah Police Command have arrested an Asian for stealing mobile phones from a commercial complex in the wilayat of Sohar.
An official said that the Sohar police station had received a call from officials at the complex about missing electronic items. An inquiry was conducted and the accused was arrested. Police officials recovered the stolen mobile phones from his house.
