US stocks fall, snapping streak of records


(MENAFN- AFP) US stocks fell Thursday, as buyers took a breather after a slate of successive record closes.At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 22.50 (0.15 percent) to 15,082.62.The broad-based S&P 500 dropped 6.02 (0.37 percent) to 1,626.67, snapping a string of five straight days in which it broke its all-time record.The tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index gave up 4.10 (0.12 percent) to 3,409.17.The losses came on a day of mixed earnings reports and as the dollar hit a four-year high against the yen and gained against the euro and other currencies.
