(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A delegation from the General Secretariat of the Gulf Standardization Organisation (GSO) recently paid a visit to the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP).According to a press release, the delegation met a number of PACP officials and attended meetings on the authority's administrative and technical work.Sheikh Ali Alqalhati, director of administrative and financial affairs at PACP, gave a welcome speech while Nasrah Alhabsi, director of legal affairs, talked about the authority's establishment and terms of reference.Nasrah also talked about the legal aspects of consumer protection and discussed lawsuits wherein the court has ruled in favour of PACP. Khaled al Rashdi, director of the information department, gave a brief on communicating with local communities, raising awareness and using social media platforms to protect consumers and for their welfare in this regard.Various departments under PACP also discussed the nature of their work.The delegation also visited the Counterfeit Goods Exhibition.
