Dozens of Jewish settlers enter courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque
(MENAFN) On Sunday morning, dozens of Jewish settlers entered the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque - Al-Haram Al-Sharif in Jerusalem, through the Al-Maghariba Gate, under heavy security provided by the Israeli Occupation forces. According to the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem, the settlers conducted provocative tours within the mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals. Additionally, Israeli forces increased their military presence around the Old City of Jerusalem and the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, blocking Palestinians from entering the area.
Jerusalemites have renewed their calls for intensified prayers and Rabat (vigil) at Al-Aqsa, urging resistance against Israeli occupation plans to divide and destroy the mosque. They emphasize that Al-Aqsa is a sacred site for Muslims, and no one has the right to claim it, rejecting any efforts to build the so-called “Temple.” Al-Aqsa Mosque faces daily violations and incursions by settlers, except on Fridays and Saturdays, in an ongoing effort to assert full control over the site and divide it both temporally and spatially.
