Egypt, Qatar View Palestinian Statehood Only Way For Mideast Security


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani emphasized the importance of establishing a Palestinian state for regional security and stability.
During a joint press conference on Wednesday, they underscored the necessity of halting all violations of international law and adhering to relevant UN resolutions.
The discussions addressed the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire, secure the release of hostages, and ensure access to humanitarian aid.
They also talked about preparations for a humanitarian conference in Cairo scheduled for December 2, which aims to enhance assistance to Gaza.
Abdel Aati reiterated his support for Lebanon's stability, while Sheikh Mohammed expressed his eagerness to contribute to humanitarian efforts in Palestine.
He also noted the progress made in bilateral relations, particularly economic cooperation.
The two leaders agreed on the importance of intensive coordination among Qatar, Egypt, and other Arab nations regarding regional developments. (end)
