Azerbaijan, UK Pledge To Strengthen Economic Ties At Baku's COP29


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. The expansion of economic relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom was a topic of discussion at COP29, Trend reports via the Ministry of Economy.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the UK's Minister for Trade Policy and Economic Security Douglas Alexander and the UK's financial Secretary to the Treasury, Lord Spencer Elliott Livermore, at the conference.

The meeting highlighted the positive trajectory of the strategic economic partnership between the two countries, with both sides expressing satisfaction with its ongoing development. Officials noted the significant potential for deepening cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and other sectors.

The UK representatives commended Azerbaijan's contributions to global initiatives, particularly its green projects. The discussions also focused on further strengthening economic relations and enhancing business and trade ties between the two nations.
