Iran Attains Self-Sufficiency In Laser Industry - Atomic Energy Organization

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. Given the public presentation of several achievements in recent days, it can be argued that Iran has now reached a self-sufficient level in the field of lasers, Iran's Vice President and Chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Eslami told reporters after a Cabinet meeting in Tehran on November 6, Trend reports.

According to him, Iran is putting its nose to the grindstone in the laser industry, and the fruits of this labor will be a boon for other sectors in the country.

Eslami stated that a number of contracts have been inked with Iranian industrial firms, and the operations of these companies will be decked out with laser technology.

To note, the 4th Iranian Laser and Photon Exhibition, organized by the Iranian Center for Laser Science and Technology under the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, started its work on November 3. The exhibition showcased the bells and whistles of a 3.5-kilowatt disk laser and a 2.5-kilowatt fiber laser, both ready to slice through non-ferrous metals.
