Azerbaijan Sheds Light On Business Landscape In Karabakh, Eastern Zangezur Regions

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. 5,085 business entities are operating in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions as of October 1, 2024, along with 93,386 individual entrepreneurs, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee.

The number of microenterprises totaled 3,875 in the Karabakh economic region, representing about 2.2 percent of the total. In Eastern Zangezur, there were 851 microenterprises, making up about 0.5 percent of the total.

The number of small enterprises in the Karabakh economic region was reported at 188, which is around 1.6 percent of the total, while in Eastern Zangezur, there were 52, accounting for about 0.4 percent.

Medium-sized enterprises in Karabakh numbered 86, approximately 2.1 percent of the total, while Eastern Zangezur had 22, or about 0.6 percent.

Karabakh registered 6 large enterprises as of October 1, constituting about 0.7 percent of the total, and Eastern Zangezur had 5, which is about 0.6 percent.

In terms of individual entrepreneurs, there were 87,510 operating in the Karabakh region, representing 6.4 percent of the total, and 5,876 in Eastern Zangezur, accounting for about 0.4 percent.
