BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Volunteer
activities encourage the youth's personal development and future
career opportunities by enhancing leadership and organizational
skills, Head of the Youth Policy and Sports Department at the
Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Hamid Nasibov said at the
IV Reporting-Election conference of the Union of Volunteer
Organizations of Azerbaijan (UVOA) in Baku today, Trend reports.
Nasibov noted that the dedication and competence demonstrated by
volunteers have been reflected both nationally and
internationally.
"The activities carried out once again prove the significant
contribution of youth and volunteer organizations to societal
development. These initiatives go beyond fulfilling social
responsibilities; they also strengthen the patriotic spirit of
youth and deepen their understanding of civic duty.
Volunteers play a crucial role in society, actively
participating in social and humanitarian projects across various
sectors, thereby enhancing our country's international reputation.
Such activities also positively impact the personal development and
future career opportunities of young people, improving their
leadership qualities and organizational skills.
Volunteers undertook large-scale activities outside Azerbaijan
for the first time in response to President of Azerbaijan Ilham
Aliyev's call, mobilizing quickly to assist those affected by the
earthquake in Türkiye. This volunteer movement played an important
role in organizing aid for our brotherly Türkiye, where the
volunteers fulfilled their tasks admirably.
The 'Return' volunteer program, launched to facilitate
resettlement in liberated territories, has also yielded significant
results and played a vital role in the region's recovery and
reconstruction process. Within this program, youth provided support
to families returning to the liberated lands.
This initiative positively influences the acceleration of
projects in the liberated territories, as well as their economic
and social development," he added.
To note, the IV Reporting-Election Conference of the UVOA has
been held at the Baku Convention Center.
The event has gathered leaders of the UVOA member organizations,
media representatives, several official guests, and volunteers.
