Uzbekistan Sketches Principles Of Joint Online Platform With Azerbaijan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 2. The creation of an online platform for business is an important step in the development of bilateral economic relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the Minister of Investment, industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov told Trend .

"This platform will provide entrepreneurs with several benefits, including simplifying trade operations and increasing business visibility. It will create a single digital space for trade transactions, which will facilitate the process of purchase and sale of goods and services," the minister noted.

He emphasized that special attention will be paid to support small and medium-sized businesses, which will be able to use the platform to enter international markets. Besides, the platform will facilitate the launch and implementation of joint projects in such sectors as energy and industry.

"We plan to launch this platform soon, which will significantly boost the volume of bilateral trade and elevate our economic relations to a new level," Laziz Kudratov added.

To note, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exceeded $118.2 million from January through July 2024.

Uzbekistan's imports from Azerbaijan during this period reached $18.6 million, while the country's exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $99.6 million.
