Hungarian Investors Keen On Constructing Hpps In Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 17. Hungarian
investors are interested in building hydroelectric power stations
in Kyrgyzstan, said Péter Sztáray, the Minister of State for
Security Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of
Hungary, Trend
reports via the Ministry of energy of Kyrgyzstan.
He made this statement during a meeting with Kyrgyz Minister of
Energy Taalaibek Ibraev on the sidelines of the 4th Meeting of
Energy Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
During the meeting, Ibraev proposed cooperation on promising
projects in the field of hydroenergy and renewable energy sources,
including:
- Exchange of expertise between specialists from network energy
companies, involving the Kyrgyz energy calculation center,
including familiarization with automated technologies and
substations of various voltage classes.
- Supply of European equipment and technologies for ongoing
hydroenergy projects.
- Attracting Hungarian investors, designers, consultants, and
suppliers to prospective energy projects in the fields of
hydroenergy and renewable energy.
Sztáray emphasized that energy-related technologies are highly
advanced in Hungary and expressed readiness to cooperate in this
area.
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the 4th Meeting of Energy
Ministers of the OTS was held. Kyrgyz Minister of Energy Taalaibek
Ibraev held bilateral meetings with each head of delegation from
the five participating countries (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan,
Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Hungary).
