Iran Looks Forward To Economic Cooperation With Iraq - President


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 11. Iran hopes to expand cooperation with Iraq to develop economic and regional stability, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at a meeting with Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid in Baghdad on September 11, Trend reports.

According to him, it would be wise to get the ball rolling on joint special commissions to strengthen the ties that bind our political, economic, cultural, and social relations between the two countries..

Pezeshkian held the belief that by joining forces economically and financially, the two countries could pave the way for a more secure and stable region.

At the meeting, Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid also mentioned that it's high time to steer clear of using the US dollar in trade between the two countries.

The Iraqi president hailed the signing of documents to expand cooperation between Iran and Iraq.

To note, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian paid a three-day visit to Iraq today.
