Azerbaijani C4IR Preparing To Implement Large AI Language Models

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. C4IR (Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center) Azerbaijan is preparing to implement large artificial intelligence (AI) language models, the center's Executive Director Fariz Jafarov said at the "Diving into the digital and metaverse economy" panel within the Chain Reaction 2024 forum in Baku today, Trend reports.

"We began developing a digital Economy strategy for Azerbaijan last year. As of today, it is complete, and we have identified 51 major initiatives that will be implemented by 2030. These initiatives aim to enhance people's skills, modernize infrastructure, and digitalize businesses under the Industry 4.0 concept.

We are also preparing to introduce large AI language models in Azerbaijan. We plan to create a digital twin project for the country to better understand what is happening in the economy and what values are being created," he said.

According to him, significant investments will be made in continuous education for citizens - the program will involve 650 different companies that will undergo digital transformation and participate in Industry 4.0 projects.

"We'll conduct diagnostics to identify gaps and define a vision for the future, then develop transformation programs. At the same time, the government is ready to fund international certifications for citizens, covering their costs to quickly build a qualified workforce in the country.

We are also collaborating with universities and plan to create a major next-generation technology center in Azerbaijan where businesses can see firsthand how they need to become digital. In collaboration with Google, we are developing GIS programs, and with Apple, we are working on a project to establish four certification centers in partnership with universities to train students," he noted.

He mentioned that Azerbaijan has also become one of 22 countries to open C4IR.

"This confirms our active involvement with the World Economic Forum. As part of this initiative, we are implementing projects related to artificial intelligence in energy and even in sports, such as AI programs in wrestling. Our goal is to become a catalyst for change in market sectors, helping the government, businesses, and society adapt to the digital world, attracting international experts for discussions and experience sharing.

We are also actively supporting initiatives in cryptocurrencies, blockchain, Web3, and the metaverse, recognizing their critical role in the digital economy of the future. Our collaboration with Binance is aimed at raising awareness about cryptocurrencies and blockchain, as well as developing university projects related to Web3," added Jafarov.

To note, the first day of the Chain Reaction 2024 forum is being held in Baku.

The crux of the event revolves around blockchain, Web3, artificial intelligence, and digital assets.

The first day will feature the following panels: "Diving into the digital and metaverse economy", "Crypto leading innovation in digital finance", "Crypto Capital: How Switzerland is transforming into Europe's digital asset leader?", "Blockchain utility: Where do governments & enterprises see value in the technology", "Creating an integrated innovation ecosystem", "Leveraging AI to enhance organisational productivity," "State of the crypto market; What is the driving factor?" as well as presentations themed "How banks are transitioning from Web 2 to Web 3" and "Web 3 driving change in fixed income".

The forum will run for two days.
