Japan Supports Baku Platform For Global Climate Transparency - Deputy Minister

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. Japan supports
the Baku Global Climate Transparency Platform, the nation's Deputy
Minister of Environment Yutaka Matsuzawa said during the High-Level
Dialogue on Climate Transparency held today in Baku, Trend reports.
According to him, Japan, which has a wealth of knowledge in
cultivating a green economy, will keep lending a helping hand to
countries across the globe in pushing the envelope on transparency
in environmental actions.
"We are ready to share our experience. It is essential to act
transparently regarding climate change. Efforts are important both
at the UN level and at the national levels. Japan is preparing its
Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) and is already setting climate
goals for the coming year," said Matsuzawa.
As the host of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties
to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
(COP29), Azerbaijan presented the Baku Global Climate Transparency
Platform/BTP) today.
During the High-Level Dialogue on Climate Transparency, COP29
President Mukhtar Babayev said that this platform will bring the
global community together to be on the same page in making
transparent efforts to improve the climate situation worldwide.
