Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Enjoy Highest Level Of Trust And Co-Op - Uzbek Expert

The highest level of trust and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has been achieved at the institutional level, Head of the Information-Analytical Center for International Relations of Uzbekistan Sanjar Valiyev said at the "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation" online conference, Trend reports.

“In my opinion, the signing of agreements on allied relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan during the visit and the holding of the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council have marked the pinnacle of the diplomatic efforts by the leaders of both countries,” Valiyev said.

He highlighted that significant progress has been made in recent years to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Baku hosts the "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation" online conference. The event is organized by the Center and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan.

Moreover, the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan business forum took place in Tashkent on August 22, resulting in a project portfolio worth $2 billion. The following day, during President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Tashkent, he and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with business representatives from both countries. As a result, seven projects worth $520 million were prepared for launch.
