Oil Depot On Fire In Kursk Region Of Russia - Drone Attack Reported


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On the night of July 28, explosions occurred in the Kursk region of Russia due to a drone attack. Fires also broke out in several areas, including an oil depot.

The Governor of the Kursk region, Alexei Smirnov, reported this on Telegram and the Baza telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

The Russian official said that the region's air defense forces and means are“on alert” amid the danger of a drone attack and called on residents of the Kursk region to be“vigilant.”

Kursk Telegram channels also wrote that it was very“loud” in the Medvenka district.

In addition, at least two fires broke out in the region amid the“repulsion” of the drone attack: one in the Medvenka district and the other in the Kursk district.

The Shot Telegram channel reports that the drone attack caused a fire at an oil depot in the village of Polyova. According to local residents, they heard“several powerful explosions” in the area of the oil depot at night.

“Before that, the distinctive sound of a UAV flying overhead was heard, and after the explosions, witnesses saw heavy smoke in the sky,” the publication says.

Mash reports that there was also an explosion in the town of Sudzha, and a house is on fire in the Medva district.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia reported a massive drone attack on the Bryansk region.
