Ooredoo Says Friday Network Failure Due To Damaged Main Lines

Doha, Qatar: Ooredoo released an official statement explaining that the Network failure experienced by its service users that occurred on Friday was due to an Ashghal contractor inadvertently damaging their main lines.

Ooredo stated that their technical team was able to respond promptly and restore services, and that Ooredoo will work closely with the Communications Regulatory Authority and Ashghal to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur and that their network infrastructure remains safeguarded.

The company also apologized for the disruption and thanked the customers for their understanding.

Ooredoo users had reported various issues with the network late Friday night, which the company had acknowledge in a social media post on the same night, noting that it was working hard to solve the problem and return services to work normally as soon as possible.
