BAU, Ayla Explore Collaboration

Aqaba, July 22 (Petra) - Dean of Al-Balqa Applied University's (BAU) Aqaba University College, Ahmed Shammout, met with Sahel Dudin, CEO of Ayla Oasis Development Company, to discuss cooperation on training programs to prepare students for the labor market.
Shammout, who is also director of the Aqaba Maritime Education and Training Center, detailed the achievements of Aqaba University College, outlining its strategic plan, academic majors, qualification and training programs, and contributions to research and serving the local community.
Since its inception as the first higher education institution in Aqaba, he said, the college has prioritized cooperation and partnership with public and private institutions to achieve best practices in education.
The two sides underscored the importance of joint efforts and enhanced cooperation to fulfill the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to strengthen ties between universities and private sector institutions, which is crucial for comprehensive and sustainable national development.
They also inaugurated the newly refurbished hall of the Hotel and Tourism Sciences Department, supported by Ayla Oasis Development Company.
