Latest Attack On Russian Cyberspace Was Very Successful - Yusov

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The latest attack on Russian cyberspace by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine was very successful.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, on the air of the United News telethon.

"Cyberspace is an extremely important area of countering the aggressor. And it is not only about information attacks, because thousands of citizens of the aggressor state have seen that their digital infrastructure is unprotected. But it also allows us to obtain a significant amount of useful information and disrupt the enemy's plans for management, logistics, and the actual military needs of the aggressor state. That is why Ukrainian intelligence, together with volunteers and cyber activists, has conducted such operations in the past, and the last operation was also very successful," Yusov said.

At the same time, according to the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Russi is also trying to attack Ukraine's digital infrastructure.

"The enemy is also trying to attack the Ukrainian digital infrastructure, we remember the attacks on mobile operators in particular. But, of course, Ukrainians are resisting this both on their own and with the help of our partners. Indeed, cybersecurity is a very important component of national security today," Yusov said.

As Ukrinform reported, a volunteer hacker community together with cyber specialists from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine attacked about 100 Russian web resources on 15 July.
