Lavender Transforms Hokkaido Hillside

Kamifurano, Hokkaido - Visitors can enjoy lavender flowers in full bloom both day and night at an event that started at Hinode Park in Kamifurano, Hokkaido, on Saturday, drawing many visitors from early in the morning.

Lavender blooms cover the about 4.2-hectare field in purple and fill the air with their fragrance at the park, where the Lavender Festa Kamifurano 2024 is being held.

On Saturday, some visitors were seen enjoying the panoramic view of the flowers from an observatory, while others were taking photographs of the flowers. The flowers will be illuminated in the evening until Sunday, the last day of the event.
