Galatasaray secures 3-year deal with Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi


(MENAFN) On Monday, defending Turkish champions Galatasaray secured the signing of Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi on a three-year contract. The Istanbul club announced the agreement, highlighting the financial terms and Batshuayi's career achievements.

According to Galatasaray, Batshuayi, 30, will receive an annual salary of €3 million (USD3.22 million) along with a signing bonus structured over three years. Specifically, he will receive €1.5 million for the 2024-25 season, €1 million for the 2025-26 season, and €500,000 for the 2026-27 season.

Batshuayi brings a wealth of experience to Galatasaray, having previously played for their rivals Besiktas and Fenerbahce in Turkey. During his time at Fenerbahce, he made significant contributions with 44 goals in 75 appearances over two seasons.

Internationally, Batshuayi has represented prominent clubs such as Olympique Marseille, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and Valencia. Notably, he was part of Chelsea's squad that clinched the English Premier League title.

The signing of Michy Batshuayi underscores Galatasaray's ambition to strengthen their squad as they prepare to defend their Turkish championship title and compete in European competitions.
