Amman, June 13 (Petra) - The Department of Professional Development and Clinical Simulation at the Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) has successfully renewed its international accreditation from the American Heart Association (AHA) for training trainers, for a three-year period.
This renewal follows a "rigorous" evaluation process that assessed the Department's administrative and practical capabilities, aimed to ensure adherence to AHA's "stringent" training standards.
In a statement on Thursday, JNC announced it was also designated as an International Training Preparation Center by AHA, which enables JNC to license and establish training centers and assist other entities in expanding their activities in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Secretary General, Hani Nawafleh, emphasized JNC's commitment to enhance the training of medical, nursing, and health personnel, which would boost quality of patient care in Jordanian hospitals.
Bilal Naja, Head of the Professional Development and Clinical Simulation Department and AHA Coordinator, underscored this achievement as part of JNC's "broader" efforts in advancing healthcare professionals' skills and know-how.
The initial accreditation was granted to JNC by AHA in 2021, with this renewal extending the accreditation through 2027.
